As a patent attorney, Adrian Steffens is involved in the application process for German and international patents and utility models. He also represents his clients in opposition and nullity proceedings and advises them in patent disputes. Adrian Steffens also assists companies in establishing and developing their intellectual property portfolios. In particular, he covers the fields of software, information technology, physics, signal processing, and medical technology.
After completing an intermediate diploma in industrial engineering with focus on electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, Adrian Steffens studied physics (diploma) and mathematics (B.Sc.) at the Free University of Berlin. At the China Electric Power Research Institute in Beijing, he worked on the grid connection of wind turbines. Within the framework of his doctorate at the Free University of Berlin and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he conducted research in quantum information science and quantum computing with a scholarship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. He moreover worked on topics in quantum chemistry at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society.
