The “Financial Times” publishedits special report “Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms 2019” at the beginning of July 2019 . It assessed 142 European law firms specialising in patent applications and patent strategy advice. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT has been awarded silver and bronze status in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and IT & Software, making it one of the elite European IP law firms. 

The Financial Times’ Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms Report is based on ratings submitted from 2,727 IP law firms and in-house counsels.

“The Patent Lawyer Magazine” (5/6-2019) ranks BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT among the top 10 law firms in Germany in its EU Patent Ranking. The results of this ranking are based on industry research, assessment of the international publishing network and evaluation of European patent applications.

“The Patent Lawyer Magazine” is published every two months and, according to the publisher, reaches around 20,000 patent attorneys worldwide. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT has once again secured an excellent place in the IAM Patent 1000 ranking. In the ‘Prosecution and Nullity’ category, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT retained 1st position among the firms receiving a ‘very recommended’ result. The firm is also recommended in the ‘Transactions’ category. Expansion of its litigation practice is also praised.

Patent lawyers Prof. Dr. Heinz Goddar (“luminary”), Christian W. Appelt (‘Transactions’ and ‚Prosecution and Nullity‘) and Dr. Markus Engelhard (‘Prosecution and Nullity’) as well as solicitor Dr. Michael Rüberg (‘Infringement’) were also – this year again – mentioned as recommended “individuals”. The first issue of the recently published ‘Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders Germany 2019” lists three BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT lawyers, amongst others Dr. Volker Schmitz-Fohrmann and Dr. Florian Schwab among the most important specialists for Trademark Law in Germany.

The selection was made “through thousands of votes and nominations in the course of our research, the market has identified that the practitioners in the following pages are among the very best in Germany in their field, without exception”, the editor states. The “Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders Germany 2019 ‘ “brings together for the first time the insight, expertise and wisdom of some of Germany’s foremost lawyers and experts in a single book”, the editor goes on.

For Germany, only 25 renowned trademark lawyers have been included in the list.
