On 17 March 2016, the Forum Institut für Management GmbH will hold a seminar on 3D printing: Risks for Patents, Trademarks & Designs”. Two BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partners and lawyers Prof Jan B. On 15 March 2016, the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (MWE), the Senate Chancellery of Berlin and the Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) will host the “2nd Congress on Copyright Policy” in Berlin. The main theme will be “Current copyright policy in Germany and Europe – Leading figures from the world of politics, law and economics in dialogue”. Copyright experts from the world of politics, industry and academia will discuss current aspects of copyright law, including new development in European copyright (e.g. portability). In the field of national copyright, experts will focus on changes in copyright contract law, e.g. the right of recall, annual information and invoicing, appropriate compensation and common remuneration regulations as well as tariff agreements. ALAI Conference “Perspective on Enforcement of Right in the Internet” with speech by Dr M. Schaefer.

On 14 March 2016, ALAI Deutschland (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale) will hold a conference in Frankfurt am Main entitled “Perspective on Enforcement of Right in the Internet”, which is comprised of the parts “Liability of Access Providers” and “Follow the Money”. The conference will discuss the question whether and under what circumstances access providers and companies advertising on piracy sites can be sued. As from 1 March 2016, attorney Philipp Henrichs (43) will join Boehmert & Boehmert in Dusseldorf as partner. Until spring 2016, Henrichs was local partner at a chambers in Dusseldorf which specialised in patent law where he advised on elements of trade mark, competition and pharmaceuticals advertising law. His move to the Dusseldorf office of BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT is part of the expansion in trade mark and competition law. He will also bring his expertise in the field of pharmaceuticals advertising and patent infringement. AIPPI/INTA conference “Designs: Into the Future” with Prof. Dr. J. B. Nordemann.

The “Designs: Into the Future” conference, which is being organised jointly by INTA and AIPPI, will be taking place in Singapore from 29 February to 1 March 2016.
