    Eva Liesegang has extensive experience advising and counseling mid-sized German companies in all matters of patent law, and representing multinational corporations in European patent matters. Her activities comprise not only prosecuting and enforcing intellectual property rights, but also establishing patent departments and developing portfolio strategies. She deals with industrial property rights in almost all areas of technology, having an emphasis in the areas of IT, communication technology, semiconductor technology, drive engineering, and selected areas of mechanical engineering and physics.

    Eva Liesegang studied electrical engineering at the Technical University Munich and specialized in control engineering and automation systems. She gained practical experience as an engineer at a Munich-based systems engineering company, developing and programming computer and microprocessor-aided automatic control and interface systems.After starting her training as a German and European patent attorney at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in 1991, Eva Liesegang has worked there ever since. She gained practical experience in US patent law by working in the patent department at Hewlett-Packard in the US. She can draw on longstanding experience in all fields of technical property rights and neighboring rights – which, besides patents, particularly also include designs rights and the employee inventions law. She also pulls from her comprehensive knowledge in giving practical advice concerning the establishment and management of patent departments, including everything from looking after inventors to licensing and enforcing patents.Eva Liesegang regularly gives seminars on patent law both in Germany and abroad, with a special focus on Asia, particularly India, Taiwan and Japan.Eva Liesegang is an active member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP), the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), UNION, and the Licensing Executives Society (LES).
