Patent attorney Hanno Flentje specializes in the fields of physics, semiconductor technology, and optics. At BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, he also works extensively in the areas of quantum technology, artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, manufacturing technology, IT, telecommunications, and consumer products.
He advises clients on the drafting of patent applications and represents them in examination proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office as well as the European Patent Office. In addition, he counsels clients in patent litigation and is regularly involved in opposition and nullity proceedings, including cases before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Hanno Flentje studied Physics at the Julius-Maximilians-Universtät Würzburg and the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a focus on solid state physics, semiconductor technology and optoelectronics. During his PhD at the Institut Néel, Grenoble, he researched the measurement and application of quantum mechanical phenomena in nanometer sized semiconductor structures for the development of quantum computers.
Hanno Flentje joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in 2017.
He was admitted as German patent attorney and representative before the EU Intellectual Property Office in 2020. He has been a professional representative before the European Patent Office since 2021.
