On 31 October 2017, a business workshop on the topic of “Licensing” organised by the Licensing Executives Society (LES Spain) will take place in Madrid. It will involve presentations from Prof. Dr. Heinz Goddar and Prof. Dr. Christian Czychowski covering “Licensing subjects” and “Sample agreements for R & D cooperation” respectively. Prof. Goddar and Prof. Czychowski led the German Federal Ministry of Economics’s working group, which drafted the sample agreements. These can be viewed on the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy’s (BMWI) website and downloaded free of charge.

This year again, the trade mark seminar will look at current issues, such as “copyright protection for brands after the Federal Supreme Court “Birthday Train” decision on European design law.  – What companies must pay attention to. At Mannheim Patent Days 2017, on 12 October, Professor Dr. Heinz Goddar will give a dinner speech on “Inventor Quality, Inventor Honour and Inventor Compensation in the Era of the Internet of Things”. Further topics, which the event will provide updates on, range from “Implementation of the Community Patent and UPC” to “New German Patent Case Law” and “Industry Patent Department 2025 and Industry 4.0”.
