BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT will be resuming its successful range of “trademark seminars” at a total of five locations in autumn 2016. They are aimed at trademark owners both with and without prior knowledge of this legal field. The dates of the individual seminars in 2016 are:

Dr. Rudolf Böckenholt, Dr. Martin Wirtz, Dr. Anke Nordemann-Schiffel and Dr. Carl-Richard Haarmann will elucidate various aspects of trademark and competition law. This year, the focus will be on the following topics: “Trademark Management within the Enterprise – from a Lawyer’s Perspective” (Dr R. Böckenholt). Dr M. Wirtz will present “Latest Developments in Trademark Law”. Dr A. Nordemann-Schiffel will talk about the “Latest Developments in Relation to Likelihood of Confusion” Dr C.-R. Haarmann will illustrate “Process Strategies in Complex, Cross-Boundary Violation Proceedings” based on a case study. Each seminar starts at 2:00 pm and finishes around 5:00 pm.

BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof. Dr. Heinz Goddar will give a speech at the CASRIP Global Innovation Law Summit in Seattle on 22 July 2016 on the subject of “How to Use Global Patent Litigation Strategies to Deal with Non-Producing Entities (NPEs)”. On 8 July 2018 from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Humboldt University Berlin, GRUR and ALAI Germany will together hold the symposium “Restitution and Copyright Law: Extension of copyright protection period for victims of National Socialism?” in Berlin. The symposium will focus on the question of whether there’s a moral duty to make restitution for past wrongs and extend copyright protection for works of victims of National Socialism or provide some other form of moral recognition. On 27 April 2016, the Munich office of BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT will hold a “Advanced Patent Law Seminar” hosted by partner and patent lawyer Nils T. F. Schmid. The seminar is aimed at medium-sized companies with prior knowledge in this field. The patent lawyers Nils T.F. Schmid, Dr. Stefan Schohe, Eva Liesegang, Dr. Steffen Schmidt and Dr. Markus Engelhard will cover various aspects of patent law.
