Global Fellows Program of the FCBA from 2 to 7 March 2020 in Munich under the direction of Dr. Michael Rüberg

The well-established exchange program for the next generation of leading patent infringement attorneys of the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA), the “Global Fellows Series”, will take place again in 2020, from March 2 to 7 at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich. Numerous speakers from the business community as well as from the judiciary and the legal profession are expected to attend.

Participants can look forward to a number of highlights: There will be a mock trial under the direction of Federal Supreme Court Judge Dr Klaus Grabinski, as well as visits of the EPO, DPMA and BPatG. In addition, participation in a patent infringement hearing before the LG Munich is planned.

As co-chair of the Global Fellows Committee of the FCBA, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner and attorney Dr. Michael Rüberg will once again lead the event in Germany this year, together with Dr. Martin Meggle-Freund, MFG Patent Anwälte.

On January 31, 2020, 11 p.m. GMT, the UK has left the European Union. However, with no changes for businesses and consumers as of now. The Withdrawal Agreement includes a transitional period until December 31, 2020 within which EU laws fully continue to apply in and towards the UK.

It is generally possible to jointly extent this transitional period. EU bodies and the UK will use the transitional period to conclude an agreement to regulate their future relations.

Is a battle breaking out among the platforms or will viewers be able to selectively combine offers from different platforms in the future?
