4 Josef-Kohler Symposium on “Copyright in the Knowledge Economy” with Dr M. Schaefer
On 12 June 2017, the 4th Josef Kohler Symposium will take place in Berlin on the subject of “Copyright in the Knowledge Economy – A new Copyright Law for Teaching and Research?”. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT lawyer Dr. Martin Schaefer will attend the event and take part in a podium discussion on the new Copyright Act. The draft for an “Act for the harmonisation of copyright law in line with the current requirements of the knowledge economy” poses numerous questions: What specific requirements are made by universities, research institutions and libraries of copyright law? Where are the limits when balancing the interests of copyright owners and publishers? What role can collection companies play? These questions will be discussed by experts from academia, industry and politics.
