“Media Law Update 2017” at the Erich Pommer Institute.

On 24 and 25 November 2017, the EPI Media Institute will be holding a two-part seminar entitled “Media Law Update 2017”. The two sections of the seminar will look into current developments and the latest case law concerning copyright and media law. Aspects covered will include: media employment law, publishing law, broadcasting law, EU media regulation, laws governing collecting societies, and provider liability.

Prof. Dr. Jan B. Nordemann will be holding a talk on 24 November 2017 on the topic of “GS Media, Filmspeler and ThePirateBay: a European concept for public dissemination?”. On the same day, Dr. Anke Nordemann-Schiffel will be providing an “Overview of Publishing Law”.
Each seminar can be booked individually and counts as further training for lawyers and specialist attorneys in the fields of copyright and media law. The two-part seminar is aimed at lawyers, specialist attorneys and in-house lawyers. The event will be held at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (BBAW), Jägerstraße 22/23, 10117 Berlin.
