Film meets Music: GEMA, music publishers, agencies – seminar with Dr M. Schaefer.

On 12 November 2012, the Erich Pommer Institute in Berlin will hold a seminar “GEMA, Music Publishers, Agencies” which will look at the question: “No clarification in sight for protection of music copyright?”. The background: Whilst the online business with its protected contents consolidates business models for the film industry and labels, various questions remain unclear in music copyright. The seminar will discuss current practice and grant of right and also dares to provide an outlook of the direction into which individual and collective assertion of right could develop.
