The Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) will hold a seminar on 26 March 2017 entitled “Copyright Contract Law 2017 – New regulations for the film industry” in Berlin. The background to the event is the copyright contract law reform, which entered into force on 1 March 2017. This reform brings with it various changes for copyright holders and, in particular, for collecting companies operating in the film industry. The focus of the seminar is the need to make changes in the film industry in light of the reform and the options for those changes. The two BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT lawyers Dr. Julian Waiblinger and Dr. Stanislaus Jaworski will focus in the seminar in particular on the following:
- New information requirements – what the accounts department must know
- Exclusive rights of use – exploitation by competitor after ten years?
- Re-filming – The end of the unlimited grant of exclusive rights for producers?
The seminar will take place from 16:00 to 19:00 in the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Jägerstrasse 22/23, 10117 Berlin. Further information and registrationundefined.
