Dr M. Schaefer speaks at the International Broadcasting Convention IBC in Amsterdam.

From 12 to 16 September 2014, the International Broadcasting Convention will take place in Amsterdam. With 50,000 visitors from 170 countries, it is one of the most important international trade fairs for film, TV and radio production and distribution. On 12 Spetember, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Dr. Martin Schaefer will appear on the panel “Give me the Right – Consumer Perspective on the Rights and Wrongs of Rights” and will discuss this issue with other international experts. They will explain the current legal and practical obstacles confronting the user such as, for instance, territorial restriction and lack of interoperability. The focus will be how television and radio can better adapt to the needs of consumers in future in view of copyright and against the backdrop of increasing interconnectivity of online devices.
