BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT publishes DNK sustainability report for the year 2022
The law firm is publishing its sustainability strategy for the first time as part of the German Sustainability Code for the 2022 reporting year.
Sustainable management is also possible in a law firm, as BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT shows with the recently published DNK declaration (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitskodex, DNK) for 2022.
The criteria that the German Sustainability Code requires for these corporate reports do not just relate to environmental protection and resource conservation. Employee rights, diversity, equal opportunities, commitment and responsibility for the community as well as innovation management and conduct that complies with the law and guidelines are further key categories on which the law firm also had to comment.
However, the work is not done with the publication of the declaration. After all, a successful sustainability strategy requires ambitious goals, which BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT has also set itself for the coming years. This means collecting and analyzing data for each business year, defining further projects and developing new effective measures for all sustainability criteria.
There is therefore still a lot to do for the firm’s sustainability team. But they will keep at it – for more corporate responsibility and a future worth living!
About the DNK
The German Sustainability Code (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitskodex, DNK) is a project of the German Council for Sustainable Development (Rates für Nachhaltige Entwicklung, RNE), an advisory body with a mandate from the German government and is funded by the Federal Chancellery.
The Sustainability Code not only supports companies in the preparation of sustainability reports, but also participates in political debates, is constantly evolving in exchange with relevant stakeholder groups and has become one of the best-known transparency standards in Germany over the years. Today, more than 1,000 user companies report on their sustainability performance in accordance with the DNK standard.
