On 26 April 2017, the Munich office of BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT will hold its trusted “Patent Law Foundation Seminar” hosted by patent lawyer Nils T. F. Schmid. The following aspects will be covered:

The seminar is geared in particular towards managing directors of SMEs, as well as directors of R&D departments and general proxies. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT lawyers have contributed a report to the Neue Juristische Wochenschrift (NJW 11/2017, page 780) entitled „Jurisprudence and Legislation in Copyright Law 2016“. For a number of years, the copyright law experts from BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT have regularly contributed summaries to the NJW on developments in copyright law at the national and the EU level and report on case law. Their conclusion this year: “The legislature has been very active in 2016. The rights of collection companies has now been specified in the VGG. The reform of copyright contract law with various new regulations for remuneration will place the industry before new challenges. In the fourth edition of the study “kanzleimonitor.de 2016/2017, “BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT remains among the recommended law firms in the fields of IP and industrial property protection and takes an exceptional 2nd place among the many major law firms. The “kanzleimonitor.de” is the result of a survey carried out by the German Federal Association of Corporate Lawyers (Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen e.V. (BUJ)). 827 companies from various sectors and sizes took part in the survey and made around 8000 recommendations. The survey reflects the practices of legal departments in 31 fields of law. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT also managed to retain very good rankings in the current edition of the “JUVE Manual of Corporate Law Firms” 2016/2017 and improved in one field. In the “Patent Law – Patent Registrations” category, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT retains pole position. In “Patent Processes – Patent Lawyers” BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT is placed in the second category of the named law firms. In “Patent Processes / Lawyers”, it moved up the ranking to 4th position.
