Klaus Seranski specialized in medical devices and technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and textile technology and has advised clients worldwide on the filing of IP rights and their defence in grant proceedings as well as on the enforcement of technical IP rights in infringement proceedings.
He has coordinated international patent infringement proceedings, defended technical property rights in opposition and nullity proceedings and represented clients in nullity appeal proceedings before the German Federal Supreme Court. The focus of his advisory work has been the development and structuring of IP portfolios as well as patent vindication, participation in unfair competition proceedings and out-of-court arbitration.

After studying physics at the University of Bonn, Klaus Seranski completed his doctoral thesis there at the Institute of Physical Chemistry.  During this time, he was involved in interdisciplinary special research fields and worked on international research projects. In 1996, he completed his training as patent attorney and in the same year was admitted as European Patent Attorney.
Before coming to BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, Klaus Seranski was a partner at an IP boutique in Munich. As partner of the Office of Career Strategy, Yale University, Klaus Seranski has been involved in this network since 2014. He worked to train Yale students in the program.
