Philipp Darge studied materials science and mechanical engineering at the University of Salzburg and the Technical University of Munich, where he conducted research on and published in the field of lithium- and sodium-ion batteries.
He subsequently worked for several years as a doctoral researcher at the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg for Renewable Energy of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. His research focused on high-throughput methods to accelerate the scale-up of serial production of PEM electrolyzers. In parallel, he is pursuing a PhD at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
As a Digital Tech Fellow in the FAU’s entrepreneurship program, he gained experience in technology transfer and startup development.
Philipp Darge has been working as a patent engineer at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT since 2025.
