Oliver Tarvenkorn studied mechanical engineering with a focus on plastics processing technology at the University of Paderborn. In his diploma thesis, he examined technical plastic adhesive bonds.
He has been working in the field of intellectual property since 1997 and has been advising owner-managed companies in Münster, Münsterland, East Westphalia, Sauerland and Emsland for more than 20 years and is therefore very familiar with the requirements of such companies. Accordingly, his advice is geared towards building up a portfolio of intellectual property rights – which includes patents, utility models, design rights and trademarks in equal measure – while always keeping an eye on the defense against third-party intellectual property rights.
With a view to the importance of patents in the European context and the creation of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), he completed additional studies at the Université de Strasbourg in 2015/2016 to obtain the “European Patent Litigation Certificate”.
Oliver Tarvenkorn joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in January 2024, strengthening the teams at the Düsseldorf and Bielefeld offices.
He is a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi), the Association of German Engineers and Rotary International.
