Meera Varma is involved in drafting and responding to examination reports in proceedings before the European Patent Office. Her expertise lies in the field of material science, semiconductor physics, optics, mechanics, computer science and machine learning.

She majored in Physics from University of Mumbai. After graduation, she pursued her doctoral work at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, India. Her work was focused on understanding the phase transitions and structural stability of materials under extreme conditions of pressure and temperature, using experimental and simulation methods.
She went on to work as an academic staff at Augsburg University for a couple of years, before joining BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in 2023.
