Furthermore, he has specialized in questions of intellectual property law with antitrust relevance. His clients include numerous companies in the consumer goods industry as well as retailers.

Ludwig Kouker studied law at the University of Marburg and obtained a doctoral degree at its Institute for Commercial and Economic Law on the topic of “addressees of the non-discrimination rule” of German antitrust law.
Ludwig Kouker is member of the Expert Committee for Intellectual Property at the Hanseatic Bar Association Bremen and a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and the Licensing Executives Society (LES). He regularly publishes articles in legal journals. The US legal reference book, Best Lawyers International rates him since 2009 continuously amongst the top attorneys in Germany. The 2016 edition of WTR 1000 includes him among the most important trade mark lawyers in Germany.
