Dr Klaus Seranski joins BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT
Dr. Klaus Seranski (52), Patent Attorney, joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT’s Munich office on 1 July 2017. He comes to our team from the renowned firm Leinweber & Zimmermann, where he was active as partner since 1997.
With his profile, Klaus Seranski is an excellent addition to BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT. Together with Patent Attorney Nils T.F. Schmid, he will continue to expand our practice in the growing mechanical engineering sector. Klaus Seranski also specialises in the fields of medical products and technology, hygiene products, laser material processing, alloys, electronics and textile technology.

Focus of consultancy work
Klaus Seranski consults globally on how to register industrial property rights and defend them in grant proceedings as well as on the enforcement of technical industrial property rights in infringement proceedings. He coordinates international patent infringement proceedings, defends technical industrial property rights in opposition and invalidity proceedings and represents clients in invalidity appeal proceedings before the Federal Supreme Court. The focus of his consultancy work is on the development and structuring of industrial property right portfolios (patents, trademarks, designs) as well as on patent vindication, involvement in unfair competition proceedings and extra-judicial arbitration.
Education
After completing his degree in physics at the University of Bonn, Klaus Seranski completed his doctoral thesis in 1991 at the Institute of Physical Chemistry. He was involved in interdisciplinary special research fields and worked on international research projects. In 1996, he completed his training as patent lawyer and in the same year was admitted as European Patent Attorney.
