BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT lawyers have contributed a report to the Neue Juristische Wochenschrift (NJW 11/2017, page 780) entitled „Jurisprudence and Legislation in Copyright Law 2016“. For a number of years, the copyright law experts from BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT have regularly contributed summaries to the NJW on developments in copyright law at the national and the EU level and report on case law. Their conclusion this year: “The legislature has been very active in 2016. The rights of collection companies has now been specified in the VGG. The reform of copyright contract law with various new regulations for remuneration will place the industry before new challenges.
