Schmid<\/a> was appointed Honorary President by delegates of UNION IP.<\/p>\n<p>Together with patent attorney Philippe Overath, he was also elected to lead the Statute Commission as Vice President.<br \/>\n  <\/p>\n<p>UNION IP of European Practitioners in Intellectual Properties is an independent non-profit organisation of experts focused on intellectual property. It was founded in 1961 under the name \u201cUNION of European Patent Attorneys\u201d.
