The government of the United Kingdom sent the notification in accordance with Article 50 of the TFEU (Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union) to the Council of the European Union on 29 March 2017. The withdrawal negotiations between the parties have to be concluded within two years, and the outcome has to be ratified by the Member States and the British Parliament. To this end, the newsletter highlights the initial developments and recommends strategic approaches for IP rights.
