“World Intellectual Property Congress” of the AIPPI with Prof Jan Bernd Nordemann in Paris.

The 42nd “World Intellectual Property Congress” of the AIPPI (Association International pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle) will take place between 3 and 6 October 2010 in Paris. One of the issues discussed there will be Q216 which looks at “exceptions from copyright protection and permitted forms of use of copyright protected works in high and digital technology”. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof Jan Bernd Nordemann will assume the role of host for this work package. The AIPPI, founded in 1897, focuses on all forms of intellectual property rights (including patents, brands and copyright); it is the oldest global association for the protection of intellectual property rights and is an internationally respected institution.
