Dr. Susanna Krapp advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields.
She is responsible for the drafting and prosecution of national and international patent applications, as well as for conducting opposition proceedings. She also advises on portfolio management and performs freedom-to-operate analyses.

Dr. Krapp’s technical focus lies in molecular and cell biology as well as biochemistry. As part of her doctoral thesis at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, she worked on the characterization of plant stress granule components and their interactions with plant viruses.
In addition, her technical background includes molecular biological and biochemical techniques, protein–protein interactions, cell-based assays, and imaging methods such as confocal laser scanning microscopy.
Since April 2025, Dr. Krapp has been working as a Patent Attorney at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in its Berlin and Munich offices.
