Ralph-P. Andersen studied physics and astronomy at the University of Kiel and the University of Heidelberg, and obtained a doctorate at the Max-Planck-Institut for Astrophysics in Garching near Munich on hydrodynamical and stellardynamical aspects of galaxy evolution. He worked for several years in the mobile network branch of a globally operating electrical engineering company in the fields of software development, software test, and systems engineering.Since 2002, he has worked in the intellectual property field and is admitted as a German and European patent attorney since 2006 and 2008, respectively. Subsequently, Ralph-P. Andersen worked for several renowned IP firms, in the patent division of a large telecommunication company, and as self-employed. In 2014, he joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.
He is a member of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys (PAK), Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi), Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP), and International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI).
