Julian Waiblinger advises on copyright and information technology, as well as trade mark and antitrust law. His clients include film companies, including US studios and trade associations, publishing houses, as well as companies in the fields of software, research and development, and internet portals. Besides a strong focus on litigation matters, his practice includes drafting and negotiating license agreements.

He studied law at Humboldt-Universität, Berlin, and King‘s College, London. He holds a doctoral degree in copyright law from Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg. During his legal education he worked, among other places, for a large American law firm in New York City as well as at the headquarters of the “German foreign office”.
Julian Waiblinger joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in 2011.
He regularly publishes in law journals and is a lecturer at the Deutsche AnwaltAkademie (German Attorney Academy). He is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the Licensing Executives Society (LES), the German Attorney Association (DAV), and of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.
Besides his legal work, his passion lies in music. He studied music at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin and is an active drummer; he has published several albums with a US label.
