Catharina Götz concentrates on trade mark, competition, and procedural law. The main focus of her work is on trade mark law, especially on clearance searches and strategic advice regarding the development and maintenance of trade mark portfolios. Her responsibilities also include the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement and defense of intellectual property rights, as well as the representation of trade mark owners in opposition, appeal, and cancellation proceedings.

Catharina Götz studied law at the University of Regensburg. Further educational training positions with a focus on intellectual property followed at law firms in Melbourne and Buenos Aires. Her doctoral thesis deals with the problem of obtaining facts and information in intellectual property litigation. Since 2009, she works as an attorney at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.
Catharina Götz is co-author of Beck'sches Prozessformularbuch (Form Book concerning litigation issues), (Publisher Mes, UWG-Teil, 12. und 13. Auflage, C.H. Beck Verlag 2013 und 2016).
She is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and the International Association of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
