Dr M. Schaefer hosts the “Berlin Music Week – Word!”.

Berlin Music Week takes place between 4 and 8 September 2013 in Berlin. The event sees itself as a network platform for actors in the recorded, tech and live sectors of the international music industry. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Dr Martin Schaefer will host the panel “This New World Ain’t Brave At All – Oligopolies are no Children’s Carnival (from 2:30 p.m.) on 5 September. Here, Dr Silvia Leipelt, Dr Lars Hendrik Riemer, Christopher Schroer and Helen Smith will discuss the question “What can and must be done so that the market for creative goods works, how can balance be achieved?”. The background is the fact that the distribution and dissemination of music is dominated by a few global players.
