The conference “When Trademarks overlap with other IP Rights” by the INT International Trademark Association will take place in Munich between 8 and 9 December 2014. Prof. Dr. Axel Nordemann will this year act as Co-Chair of the Organisation Committee and will also participate in the event as host and speaker. On 8 December, he will give a speech on “Trademarks and Copyright Law”, on the second day of the event he will host Session IV: “Trademarks and Unfair Competition Law”. The conference is organised jointly by INTA and the German Association of Industrial Property Rights and Copyright (GRUR).

Seminar “EPI Media Law Special” with Prof J. B. Nordemann.

On 8 December 2014, the Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) in Berlin will hold a special event entitled “EPI Media Law Special”. The seminar is geared towards solicitors and specialist lawyers, corporate lawyers as well as interest experts looking to extend their knowledge in media and copyright law. The topics covered range from online rights and music rights to aspects of media labour law and new statutory developments in relevant fields. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof. Dr. Jan B. Nordemann will explain the issues together with further speakers using selected cases. He is solicitor, specialist lawyer for copyright and media law and for industrial property rights. Together with his co-speaker Prof Ulrich Michel, he is legal director of the Erich Pommer institute.

Seminar combination “Copyright” – with Prof J. B. Nordemann and Prof C. Czychowski and Dr T. Bittner

The German Lawyers Academy will hold two supplementary seminars with copyright experts from BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT and patent lawyer Dr. Thomas L. Bittner on 5 and 6 December 2014 in Munich. On 5 December, Prof. Dr. Christian Czychowski and Dr Thomas Bittner will together guide their audience through the field of “Software and Property Protection Rights (Patent and Copyright)”. On 6 December 2014, Prof Christian Czychowski and Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann will head the seminar on “Current Development in Copyright – Legislation and Case Law”. Both events will last one day and will this year take place in Munich. The seminars are aimed at lawyers, publishers, music and film production companies, radio and television, internet and software companies, companies operating in the advertising and design industry, associations and collecting companies.
