From 12 to 13 November 2014, a train-the-trainer seminar organised by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) will take place in Izmir. The title of the lecture is: “Training of the Trainers Program on Effective Intellectual Property Asset Management by Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)”. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof. Dr. Ch. Czychowski will lead the seminar presenting various topics together with a colleague over the two day period. “Exploiting Intellectual Property Assets: Overview of Licensing, Franchising and Merchandising”, “Financial Terms of Licensing Agreement: Valuation and Forms of Payment” as wellas “Drafting of Licensing Contracts” are some of the aspects covered. The seminar is organised by WIPO, the Turkish Patent Institute (TPI) and Ege University.

From 6 to 8 November 2014, the Annual Congress of the German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI) will take place in Berlin. This year, the key topic will be “Data and Software as Economic Asset”. As part of this congress, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof. Dr. Christian Czychowski will host the event “Data as Economic Asset” on the morning of the second day. The German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI) focuses on questions regarding the interface between information technology and data processing as well as law and economy. The Annual Congress 2014 will take place at the FOKUS Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems in Berlin and is supported by BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.
