The Autumn Congress of ALAI Germany (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale) will take place in Berlin on 15 October 2014. This key issue will be “Harmonised Copyright Law by EU Ordinance – A good or bad idea?” BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Dr. Martin Schaefer will welcome guests to the event and introduce the issue. He is appointed member of the board of ALAI Germany. The Autumn Congress at the Humboldt University of Berlin will take place from 2pm. to 5pm; registration should be made via ALAI Germany.

On 1 October 2014, a Creative Business Conference Art e Fact – Working Successfully with Data – will take place in Berlin. The conference focuses on the question “how to work successfully and securely with digital goods and the associated data” with speeches, workshops and a panel of experts. The event will be hosted by BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Dr. Martin Schaefer who will focus on the question “how harmonisation and exchange of meta-data could boost the music industry. Guests on the panel are: Volker Jacumeit, DIN – Department for Development of New Fields of Work (ENA); Stephan Benn, European Trademark and Design Attorney; Dagmar Boeck-Siebenhaar, Managing Director of B&S Siebenhaar Verlag and Institute for Culture- and Media Management FU Berlin; TBC (Deutsche National Bibliothek). The conference is aims towards the creative industry in Germany and will be conducted by eBusiness-Lotse Mitteldeutschland together with eBusiness-Lotse Berlin.
