BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT Partner Dr Markus Engelhard has been invited to speak on the topic of “Innovation” on 27th June 2013 as part of the workshop organised by the EU Commission: “From research to innovation: substantial steps forward in the industrial use of European intellectual assets, stimulating the use of newly developed materials”. This will be about future invitations to bid for research funds from the European Commission and the issue of possibly including “innovation” as an evaluation criterion for applications for research funds. Dr Engelhard is a patent law specialist based at the Munich office.

From 19 to 22 June 2013, the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) will hold its 15th Annual Bench & Bar Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The key topic this year is: “Innovation, Trade, and Fiscal Reality: At Home and Abroad”. As part of this event, BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof Heinz Goddar will host the “International Remedies” panel on 22 June.
