On 30 May 2013, the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), Switzerland, is holding its annual meeting as well as the AIPPI Swiss Day 2013 in Bern. The theme of this year’s meeting is “The warning process in IP practice: an international comparison”. BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT partner Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann and the colleagues N. Boydell (Bird & Bird, London) and A Mondini (Schellenberg Wittmer, Zürich) will elucidate the topic from various different perspectives. The talks are aimed at familiarising an audience of experienced Swiss lawyers, in-house consultants, patent and trademark lawyers with the respective, different conditions and legal consequences of the formal warning in the concrete case of an infringement. The University of New Hampshire School of Law (Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property), Concord, NH, U.S.A., is running from 28 May to 8 June the two-week summer course “Advanced Patent Law Institute”. It is primarily aimed at patent lawyers, IP specialists and advanced students and will be held by several internationally known IP specialists. On 23 and 24 May 2013 the annual conference of the Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) is to take place in Vienna under the motto “Best practices in transfer of science and technology”.
